Rating: Summary: Read the Book before reviewing it! Review: It is obvious that most of these reviewers giving this book negative reviews have not even read it. There is even one reviewer thats states that Ann "accuses the entire Democratic Party of treason but will not name one person, living or dead, as being guilty of that serious crime." I don't know what book he read but it wasn't Ann Coulter's "Treason." This book in fact has many names of people who are liberals that were proven soviet spies who regularly communicated with moscow and also organized the infiltration of other soviet spies in the top levels of our government. They were protected by the liberal establishment and the press, especially the New York Times. This book is filled with meticulously reasearched facts and all the sources are listed. No one could have researched it better. Even if you are going to give this a negative review at least read the book so yo know what you are talking about!
Rating: Summary: Wish I could give less than 1 star! Review: This woman should be down on her knees thanking liberals for existing. If not for them, she'd have nothing to write about and would be ranting on some street corner like other nutjobs who don't happen to have a publisher. Coulter has such hatred in her that her work doesn't even have the appearance of being fair and balanced. I don't consider myself liberal or conservative, but I do recognize that there is a reason we don't have a one-party government in this country---balance. Something Ms. Coulter knows nothing about!
Rating: Summary: This book is symbolic of our road rage, lazy society! Review: I'm a conservative republican and I don't support people from my party who angrily attack the left. It's easier to attack the opposition than is to improve ourselves. We can't control the left but we can try our best to make our own party better. It's laziness to criticize and blame others. It takes effort and character to respect people with different beliefs than our own.
Rating: Summary: YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!! Review: TREASON: Liberal Treachery From the Cold War to the War On Terrorism by Ann Coulter is without a doubt the best historical political non-fiction I have ever read. Forget everything you learned in "history class." Coulter lays out the cold hard facts and they are irrefutable. "McCarthyism" is a load of bologna. HUAC (HOUSE Un-American Activities Committee (1947)) had nothing to do with SENATOR Joe McCarthy (gave first anti-Communist speech at Wheeling, Virginia in 1950). 57 people McCarthy named as Soviet spies WERE PROVEN SPIES by the release of classified Soviet Cables in 1995 and the Venona Project. FDR promoted and fawned over known Soviet spies. President Ronald Reagan WON the Cold War--Coulter tells how he managed it and what he was up against (Treasonous, short-sighted liberals). YOU MUST READ TIHS BOOK--Even if you are a Liberal Democrat. I know it will be hard to read Coulters smart-aleck editorializing (I find it fantastically amusing), but the FACTS are all there with CITATIONS to many PRIMARY SOURCES. Anyone giving this book one star and a two line "I hate this conservative you know what" review obviously didn't read the book and should be disregarded as an obfuscator of history and truth. This book is on my Mandatory Reading List for All Americans.
Rating: Summary: Is this the new voice of the right? Review: It is unfortunate that the political discourse in this country has reached a new low with Ann Coulter's new book "Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism." It's interesting that Coulter accuses the entire Democratic Party of treason but will not name one person, living or dead, as being guilty of that serious crime. She can't even substantiate the title of the book. Although Coulter has an interesting writing style, her research is rather "sloppy." Coulter twists facts to make them fit her argument, and in some cases, just gets things wrong. One would think her editor would have done a better job of fact checking. Well, I'm sure her book will do well and that's not a bad thing. Having Coulter as the right wing pundit de jour is the best thing to happen to Democrats in a long time. It really is surprising that she is embraced by Conservatives because her book does more harm to their credibity than anything that the Democrats have been able to come up with.
Rating: Summary: Finally! Review: Finally, a clear mind, a clear voice for the right.
Rating: Summary: Typical Coulter Vitriol Review: Miss Coulter's mediocre literary skills are once again evident in her latest whiney, often vitriolic attack on liberals, Democrats, and basically anyone who does not agree with her intolerant, narrow view of what the world should be. The only reason her books sell is because she appeals to a blindly loyal, ultra-conservative segment of our population who can't get enough of mean-spirited liberal bashing the kind of which Miss Coulter consistently spews. Also, Coulter is very good at self-promotion on any media outlet that will have her. Do not waste your time or hard-earned money on this hate-mongering rubbish!
Rating: Summary: Treason? Review: I saw the word TREASON on the cover and thought the book was about Grover Norquest, Ken Lay, The Carlyle Group and Halliburton Corp, amoung others. There's fertile ground for my reasoning. Too bad Coulter is so out of touch...she could write a real book about treason and could interview all her friends for material!
Rating: Summary: Something is wrong with this woman Review: In this piece of junk, Annie-girl says that Democrats are against a discussion of whether they are "patriotic" or not. Well, after reading this horror, can we the discuss the mental stability of Annie-girl. She is truly off her rocker. Oh yeah, how did Ambrose Bierce describe patriotism "the last refuge of a scoundrel" - a perfect definition of Annie-girl.
Rating: Summary: Whirlwind read... Review: From the moment I started this book, I was impressed with the research, footnotes and time this author had taken to present this view. I could not read it before going to bed, because, unlike some recent bestsellers, this one is not a soporific read. This LADY calls a spade a spade, which is so rare in our 'contemporary' society. Kudos, Ann. You are a great role model due to your veracity, knowledge, and wit. Well worth the time to digest.
