Summary: Another masterpiece
Review: Once again Ms. Coulter has put out a well reaserched and informative book. This is the kind of book that takes a serious look at what kind of leaders we should have in this country. God help us if the democrates ever regain power.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Buyer Beware
Review: Attention all dittoheads, parrots, blowhards, Fox News junkies, and the rest of the weak minded and easily led: Don't read this book. It will only poison your mind further.

Summary: Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make ye mad.
Review: I started reading TREASON last night and couldn't put it down until I finished it.

Coulter's expose of the McCarthy episode was extraordinarily well researched, especially regarding the (secret) indictments provided by the Venona Project. Her comments in chapter 13, "Now that I'm sober I watch a lot of news" were absolutely devastating to the Hollywood left (as though we should care what a bunch of ACTORS think). Extensive footnotes are, as always, provided for anyone who would dare to take on Coulter face-to-face -- they'll need to do their homework!

Coulter tends to be rather shrill, but I think it's necessary to cut through the waves of liberal babbling. Conservatives have been getting slaughtered in the media and college press for years; Coulter provides yet another outlet for consertavitism against the wash of the liberal media. Her -- among others -- efforts are turning the tide of one-sidedness in the media, and I for one wholly support that.

I'd like to see some of the liberals bashing Coulter to support their arguments with actual facts. It'd also be nice if y'all actually READ the book before posting your reviews -- I just read about a hundred customer reviews and it's apparent that most of you haven't read the book.

Ignorance is bliss, yeah?

Ultimately, the value of this book is that it is an extraordinary tool for conservatives. Like HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS and SLANDER, it provides a factual, cutting, prescient case against the persistent myths perpetuated by liberals and liberalism.

Summary: Superb Example of Political Demonization
Review: All extremist political idealogues use demons to focus on the 'awful' alternatives to their own positions. This book is a modern classic, surely more readable than forgotten handbooks from Mussolini's Italy, Hitler's Germany, Mao's China, and Stalin's Russia. But perhaps that's because it is current. Will anyone call it a classic in twenty years time? I doubt so.

Forget bothering to check any facts. That's not important. What is important is to remember than so-called liberals aren't running the US these days, and things aren't working out very well, now are they?

No matter, as long as the people believe that they have an enemy, and that this enemy will harm them.

As long as the people can get caught up in the religious-style furvor of ultranationalism.

As long as most people believe there will be a future that is every bit as good as the present is for the people who are looting their national treasury.

Reading this book may provoke anger at the bad guys, and perhaps give NewSpeak comfort and satiety in way of The Way Things Are Now.

Summary: Facts Conveniently "Left" Out of Public School Curriculum
Review: It's fascinating to read over the negative reviews here, to see the absolute hate and vitriole directed towards her, in the most juvenile of terms. Ann, of course, always stirs up the ire of the non-thinking set, resulting in this sort of kindergarten-level attack. Still, it's actually good to see that sort of review, since it serves to reinforce Ann's point in the first place!

That said... I attended public school, and for most of my life never really knew much about Joe McCarthy, except for what I was taught in school. I always questioned what I was told, since it was never supported by any fact, only by assertations without evidence to back them up. In fact, I was taught that the House Unamerican Activities Committee was McCarthy's... a point which I had never actually connected on 'til now... McCarthy was a SENATOR, he could not and was not involved in anything going on in the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES in the first place. This was a great place to start the review.

I was also fascinated to read about the Verona Project, something which was never publicized in the popular press, though it's been in the declassified public domain for several years now. For those who haven't read the book yet, let me summarize what Ann points out (and which I have since confirmed) - the Verona Project was a top-secret intelligence operation which proved beyond doubt exactly who in the US Government was in the service of the USSR. The Verona project was declassified a couple of years ago and proves, beyond any doubt, that ALLEGATIONS OF SOVIET INFILTRATION IN THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF THE US GOVERNMENT WERE CORRECT. Don't just take Ann's, or MY, word for it, though... check it out for yourself!

I have double-checked most of the bits of information Ann references in this book, and have not found anything that isn't correct. It is, in theory, possible that there may be one or two minor wording misquotes, though I certainly haven't found any. The substance of the book, however, is entirely factual and accurate... and it's a crime that these things are not only not not known by most people, but that most people believe things which are PROVABLY FALSE. Thank God Ann is willing to bring these issues into the public arena, since the New York Times is unlikely to ever do so.

Approach this book with an open mind... leave your hatred of those who disagree with liberalism, and your attitude of "conservatives eat babies for breakfast" behind, and try to follow the logic of her argument. You might not LIKE what she has to say, on some emotional level, but the logic of the argument is hard to dispute.

Conservatives don't need to be taught (though most can stand to have more factual ammunition in their argument armory), and the "arch-liberals" know full-well what they are doing (and are, in fact, the topic of this book).

However, most rank-and-file "liberals" believe what they believe based upon what they've been told by "those who know better than we do" (so-claimed). This is why people tend to become more conservative with age... the more you see, the more you know, the more you understand, the more likely you are to be conservative (juvenile name-calling from the left notwithstanding... have you ever wondered how the right can simultaneously be "the party of the rich" and "the party of the trailerpark rubes" simultaneously? Answer - it's not).

Ann's book, by bringing these topics into public discourse, will hopefully help to inform and teach some of the self-named "liberals" who don't understand the true nature of the philosophy they have been fooled into following. More likely, it will provide Conservatives with the verbal ammunition necessary to convince these people of the error of their ways. Logic always wins out in the end... unless the children storm off in a huff and start calling you names (see previous negative reviews on here!).

Summary: Courage to tell the truth
Review: I have traveled over much of the world and most intelligent and educated people marvel at how easily our press has been slanted to the left.
Ann Coulter is fearless in revealing the truth of historical facts hidden by the Communist supporters who were funded directly from the Soviet Union as was finally revealed in the Venona project when it was declassified.
People who are guilty can't afford to sue. They can't afford the additional press about the truth. Those who condemn Ann Coulter as being untruthful do so with slander in the media. But no one seems to be taking her to court for libel. I wonder why, since so many proven Communist lawyers came out of Havard.
This is an excellent book that was fully researched and really opens your eyes as to how we got to where we are.

Summary: Not the greatest...
Review: I read this book, and while Ms. Coulter makes a great show of quoting historical sources, she more or less picks and chooses her way through history --i.e. her assessment of the contribution of Senator Joseph McCarthy. That alone was abit frightening, however, I did give her an extra star because, regardless of the material and blatant bigotry and obvious rage going on inside of this person, she's actually quite a good writer. She also looks to be a very pretty girl, but she needs to relax a bit. Each written sentence seems to scream from the page, "Ecoute moi!" Perhaps she just needs a good hug, but the anger is so palpable. In any event, she does have a flair for writing, although I'd love to see what she could do with other subjects. She'd be an excellent fiction writer --- this book certainly dangles on that border.

Summary: The Truth does make liberals even more mad
Review: People who rate this book poorly have not read it, or have and realize that the truth hurts the false lie they are promoting. This book is a required read for anyone wanting to know the truth of the liberal democrat spin machine.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Reminds me of Michael Bellesiles's book "Arming of America".
Review: In other words, short on facts and full of rhetoric. Why more conservatives don't just ignore this embarrassment to our community makes me wonder just how far we've sunk.

Both Ann Coulter and Michael Savage deserve a swift kick in the rear.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The complete disarmament of liberal spin
Review: Truth, inegrity, and American patriotism are what Ann Coulter speaks loudly, eloquently, and with great wit about, in a refreshing and unafraid firm stance against the strong and everblowing wind of the liberals, the liberal media, and those in powerful positions to influence the masses with their mantras, deceptive headlines, editorials, voices and other massacres of what is "right" on the right.

She's an advocate for complete vindication of those who have been persecuted and silenced by death but covered with the billowing smoke screen of lies. She brings to light recently unvailed new evidence of decrypted Soviet Cables to some, and the facts of truth to dismantle the lies erected over the graves of others.
