Summary: The First & Final Word in Holistic Practice & Application
Review: Dr. Afrika keeps it extremley simple and completly hands on. I personally learned more from Dr. Afrika in five minutes than every book on the subject collectivly. Once the origin of "Wholistic" is clearly defined by Dr. Afrika there is no question where the path of the sick or the healer should be directed next. African Holistic Health truly addresses the full spectrum of Mind, body, spirit, and how these three aspects of our being are neccessary in the successfull recovery from an ill lifestyle. Dr. Afrika has provided me with the tools to successfully heal myself and more importantly the ability to guide another to the eternal path of health and Wellness. African Holistic Health is "THE" definitive guide to true "Civilization" ; Upon first glance this book is hard to digest, this being reality because it clearly shows how far off the the path of Natural Law we have all strayed. This information is our divine right, thanks to our living ancester Dr. Imhotep Llaila O. Afrika, it has now return to us to awaken us from our savage amnesia. I am blessed to know such a blessed man.

Summary: I'm ordering my second copy of this excellent book.

Summary: Excellent source for holistic healing
Review: I'm only 21 years old, and I picked up this book and boy is it great!.Dr. Llaila Afrika educates African-Americans about the numerous benefits of a holistic approach to health, which is rare in today's fat-ridden American society. This book is easy to read and contains many entries on which herbs and natural foods are used to treat what, how to apply them topically (externally), the evils of refined flour and sugar, the evils of alipathic medicine (Western medicine/technology) etc. A must read for all those who value their health. The reason why it didn't get 5 stars was because of all the editing mistakes (punctuation errors, etc.)

Worth the money.

Summary: An excellent guide to opening the universal oneness of SELF
Review: Llaila O. Afrika expressed the complete oneness of the body and how each and every part of the human body is connected. The body, mind, and spirit are connected to form SELF. Dr. Afrika clearly defines how treatment of the body as a whole is crucial to wholistic health. The aches and pains that he body receives are indicators that something is out-of-sync in the body. Dr. Afrika shows different methods to bring the body back in sync with itself. The book express a deep need for each person to look toward thyself for treatment of SELF. The book describes a time when treatment with herbs, reflexology, iridology, vitamin and mineral supplementation was common practice. This is an excellent book for one who truly desires knowledge of themselves in dealing with health related issues. African Holistic Health is a remarkable book for someone new to treating the body, mind, and spirit as one BEING. When you awaken SELF, you awaken the Divine knowledge of SELF. I know that this book aids in aligning the wholistic body with the oneness of the divine SELF.

Summary: Very Helpful
Review: My first encounter with this book was about 1995 a friend presented it to me, at the time I had no knowledge of Holistic health, reading this book open my eyes to many thing's that were unknown, even though there were things I didn't understand and had a hard time believing, I found myself drawn to at least try that which I felt pertain to me and I must say I owe yrs of pain free living because of this book. I lived with a lot of pain within my stomach from 1983 until 1995 doctors of traditional medicine were not able to tell me the cause or even a cure from what I was dealing with but soon after reading this book I found myself pain free and I could throw away the medicines I was prescribed and now I live life better with out the pain. I am thankful for this book. I recommend it to any one no matter the ethnic back ground it's a great book and a great author Thank you Dr Llaila O. Afrika

Summary: This book is soooo racist
Review: This book is so bad, that it's laughable. Don't waste your money on this trash. As an African American I am really embarassed by this offensive piece of work. If your of African ancestory with low esteem, this will surely inflate your ego. However, I'm afraid at what expense. If you have an ounce of intelligence, you will not buy this book.

Summary: Informative and thought provoking
Review: This book is very thought provoking, to say the least. i struggled a bit with some of the syntax, though. it is also an informative book that should be used as a tool of learning. some who've read the book agree, some disagree with the author's points of view. obviously some of the subject matter goes against conventional european wisdom and some of it may seem controversial, but then, so was the new idea that the world was round. it may be especially hard to swallow for those who view life through eurocentric paradigms and learn via christian and european epistemologies. but sometimes because truth is much stranger than fiction, that does not excuse us from fleshing out the truth from opinions, no matter where they come from. both eurocentric and afrocentric points of view need to be examined. that being said, i found this book to be full of useful information that cannot be discarded without further examination.
