Rating: Summary: Quick Reference Review: Excellent quick reference book. Easily locatatable by the location of where each one lives. Recommended.
Rating: Summary: Very thorough, a great source of information. Review: Extremely well-written. The best source of info I have ever seen. It may seem scary, {it creeped me out 4 a while} but you get over that if you just run the vanqueshing methods over in your mind. Like 4 vanqueshing a kappa, bow to it- read the rest in the book! {I have discovered we have tommy-knockers in our basement} it tells you basic protection, nothing pagan or anything. Everything from the fragile Mimi to the hard-core Nixe is in here!
Rating: Summary: scintillating...most insightlfull Review: Having lived a life full of the paranormal I have found this book a delight. Most of my encounters with the strange side of our world have left me searching for answers. This wonderfull book may offer more than a few clues. But do not for one second think this book is reserved for those of us who have encountered this in their lives..I feel everyone has something to gleam from its contents. Bravo for a job well done..
Rating: Summary: Nothing Special Review: I confess it is partly my fault; I was expecting an encyclopaedic book that would provide information that was not of an exoteric nature. This book, I am sure, would be pleasant for those wishing to study the mythologies of various cultures. Most of the information was more of a story-telling nature. It is very cute and amusing and would probably interest an elementary school student who has a fascination with the morbid.
Rating: Summary: It was an ok book..but, Review: I didnt think it was that great. It was good in some parts and very interesting in some parts. However, it does not go deeper in all of demons and other spirits. Most folks that study the occult will say there are better books than this one, which in that case there are. However, i can tell you that you should shop around first, cause this book only does the "basics" for the beginner. Anyways, its a good book, but not great.
Rating: Summary: Leaves you wanting more. Not what I expected. Review: I purchased this book through the Internet, and when it arrived it was not exactly what I thought. It was somewhat of a simple guide, really for the beginners, and it read, really simple. My 10 year old daughter enjoyed it. I was expecting a serious book, with excellent references on Demons, but what I got was a "basics Demons 101" type book. I got this book for the section on the 7 Deadly Sins; hoping to get a thorough explanation on each, but each demo was rushed through, with not enough info, on each particular demon. The Lore section on each Demon was interesting, and my kids enjoyed that as much as I did, but the section on Disarming and Dispelling Demons, was honestly not what I had expected. "Placing barrels on the side of a boats to discourage Water Spirits or Mermaids from bothering a boat." ??? Ooo-kay then, or Shutting Doors on Shaitan Demons, disarms them.. This section on dispelling was based more on Folklore. People must understand that Demons, and Spirits, are not bothered by barrels or closed doors, and that was simply just to funny, and info like that would put Buffy and the Charmed Ones out of business. Lol. This is an okay book, I honestly can not recommend it, as each entry leaves you wanting to know more information. And the Dispelling Section was also very disappointing. But my kids liked it, so I have to give it that extra star, because it kept them quiet for awhile.

Rating: Summary: Why would anyone want to learn how to conjure these demons!? Review: I read this book from a friend and found it very interesting, and I decided to purchase a copy of my own. I have one question, after eading the other following reviews. Why would anyone want to know how to conjure or summon these creatures!? I'm very christian, but I still studied this book. Whoever complains about how the book doesn't contain any information on how to summon, they need to see a psychiatrist or a priest......
Rating: Summary: Great reading experience Review: I thought this book was a fast and interesting read. Its theory on fairies and fallen angels, is a different approch of most common related publishings. I found this book informative and interesting, but one must take these related subjects with a grain of salt, for many foklore has many contradictions, for they are mearly entertaining and historical.
Rating: Summary: Satisfies A Wonderful Curiousity Review: If you are interested in learning about demons, fairies, and fallen angels, this book is an absolute must-read! Each submission tells of the creature, the lore and the dispelling or disarming technique. Many have illustrations to boot! Along with that is an instructional aid on how to use this book, how to identify a basic demon, how to identify a common fairy, approaches to the field, and origin of the species. Covers all creatures, separated into their elements: Water, Mountain, Forest, Desert, Domicile, or Psyche. An incredibly fascinating read and a definite asset to any library. Highly recommended. :o)
