Summary: Intro to Wicca
Review: At least the title isn't "Wicca: a COMPLETE Guide for the Solitary Practitioner." The book covers a lot of beginner info, but some things seem to be missing that one would think would be covered--Deities? One thing I do like is the Book of Shadows in the back--don't get me wrong--I don't think Cunningham intended on this Book of Shadows being a "gimme." I use it as an example--I don't like the idea of a "Standing Stones Book of Shadows," its rather hoaky--so I use it as an example or a general idea of what I should include in my own Book of Shadows...and I think that is what he intended. The book is very well written and easy to follow. As a supplement to another book, this book is great. Alone--well, its a good start. I enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading his other books.

Summary: Great Beginners Book
Review: Any one who is interested in the Wicca Religion and is deciding to become a solitary practitioner, should read this book. Very well written and explained. He gives great insight to the Religion and keeps his personal experiences more to himself so you can form an opinion of the religion without having someone else's experiences good or bad influence your decision. Blessed Be!

Summary: A good beginning guide
Review: Cunningham is often critised for writing material that is on too much of an elementary level. While I agree that this one book alone is not The Final Complete Book of All Wicca, learning about Wicca has to start somewhere! In fact, this was the first book on Wicca I ever read and it served as a solid beginning. As time goes by, I've "expanded my horizon" but I still think that Cunningham has a lot of relevant things to say and I would recommend this book to any beginner.

Summary: A Beginners Must Have
Review: This was the first book I read when starting out on my current path. Scott Cunningham was a great writer who knew exactly how to place the endless volumes of information regarding the Wiccan religion into a context which was not at all daunting to the new comer to the craft of the wise.

Summary: Beginners Luck
Review: I was definitely a beginner when I bought this book. I was 13 and looking for guidance. I found it here. Alot of other Wiccan books require some knowledge of the subject, but Scott Cunningham does not assume anything. His explanations are patient and he doesn't feel the need to quiz his readers. I was solitary at the time and have been for most of my eight years of practice and have found both of his books to be resouces that I continually use.
