Summary: Powerful and Entertaining
Review: After I read Griffin's "The Creature from Jekyll Island" (an amazing book), I had to read this one too. I was not disappointed - It is amazing to think that something this important has been downplayed, undermined, and relegated to the realms of quackery by conventional establishment-medicine.It should be no surprise to any of us that the modern era has pushed us all into some highly unnatural living conditions. Nitrogen-farming, sedentary lifestyles, our neighbors are complete strangers, hours of unmeaningful interaction with our beloved televisions (and internet). World Without Cancer taps into this modern-day insanity with a straightforward argument that cancer is the result of nutritional deficiencies. Even if this premise is overly-simplistic, it's a viewpoint that everyone should consider. Personally, I think Griffin and company are onto something significant. The only reason this book gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that most of the research listed on the topic is from the 60s and 70s. In the world of cancer research and microbiology, 30-40 yrs ago was the dark ages compared to the advances made since that time, as noted by my brother who holds a PhD in Microbiology (who also read the book). This is not to say that the research Griffin lists is incorrect or faulty, but I feel like Griffin needs to update the book to reflect Laetrile research done in the last 20 years. It's true that Laetrile's time under consideration and scrutiny occured 30 years ago in the States, but surely more research has been done in other countries where it is legally used and accepted (including countries in Western Europe). I would like to see Mr. Griffin give this book a major overhaul. Regardless, it's a great book, and written about a topic that will undoubtedly affect all of our lives at one point, sooner or later.

Summary: American Medicine Revealed !
Review: As a physician, trained at one of the premier medical schools, I applaud this book. Only several decades ago, private medical research went to distant lands to find out why certain tribes never died of cancer. These researchers found that seeds, almond, apple and others were full of a vitamin: B-17, which is totally absent in our American diet due to processing. These researchers were silenced and the major pharmaceticals, Rockefeller, et al, lead any further research, thus ending independent research as we know it. Small groups of doctors exist and believe in the anti-aging concepts of preventive and nutritional health as a prevention for many of the maladys facing man today. Seek us out - we are there - still fighting.

Summary: World Without Cancer: The Story of Vitamin B17
Review: Excellent information more about cancer prevention than cure. In depth reporting on the cancer industry and why the cure is not a high priority for many powerful groups in organized medicine. There is a great deal of money made in the cancer industry. Gives several examples of how groups of people in remote areas do not ever get cancer. Their diet is rich in Vitamin B17. This Vitamin is not recognized by the FDA for political reasons. Vitamins can't be patended. When some of these people leave their homeland and adopt our eating habits they get cancer at the same rate as the rest of us. This is important reading for anyone - it can save their life. They only negative is the extreme detail the author provides.

Review: For anyone with cancer, this book has all the information you need. My brother-in-law, as a last resort, went to a medical clinic that uses B17. His cancer is GONE!

Summary: B17 and a little "over the top" politics
Review: G. Edward Griffin's book was one of the first I read in my education about "alternative" cancer treatments in 1998. It really jump-started my interest in the topic. It makes a convincing case about the suppression of Laetrile, an effective cancer treatment. It makes a less convincing case concerning the international conspiracy of John D. Rockefeller, I.G. Farben and Hitler to "take over the world."
Certainly, there is corruption and collusion in politics and medicine caused by the huge amount of money involved in cancer treatment. However, "Politics in Cancer" by Daniel Haley gives a much more objective and well-documented view of this.
Ed Griffin's book was first published in 1974. Although he updated it in 1997, it is still something of a dinosaur in today's Internet world. I would certainly never recommend that any cancer patient rely on just one substance or type of therapy. Every cancer and every patient is a complex of variables. Only a multi-pronged approach to treatment can raise the odds of becoming cancer-free into the 90%-plus range, where they belong, with today's wide array of options.

Review: I have cancer and I believe that had I read this book before my surgery, I probably would not be paralyzed. This book goes into great detail on the big cover up for the cure for cancer. I am in the process of getting what I need to fight this thing that is inside of me. I am also refusing radiation and chemotherapy. The only reason that I did not give this book 5 stars is because I believe that the author is a bit too detail. He really does get his point across because he mentions names and places where things took place and was discovered. If you have cancer or someone you know has cancer, then you need to read this book. It is a shame that people are dying because of other hungry people for the almighty dollar.

Review: I read this book primarily to use in a college research paper, but I gained more than information to give my instructor. I got a crash-course on the political scandal that has suppressed the cure for cancer in the United States. If you or someone you know has cancer, GET A COPY OF THIS BOOK! It will eliminate all fears you ever had of the disease.
