Summary: Show on Romance Classics Channel
Review: There is a movie-tv show on this network, it is based from the book, they show a movie to suit a woman's every mood. "Cinematherapy" is practically on whenever you want it. Anytime.

Summary: Need a gift idea?
Review: This (and it's counterpart Bibliotherapy) are the perfect gift for any intelligent woman in your life.

Summary: Fun and Funny!
Review: This book is a hoot and a good reference as well. I'm especially into the "Martyr-Syndrom Movies" these days. The writers have a great sense of humor and really pick up on the nuances of each of the movies they review. The book has also reminded me of some great movies that I always meant to see but never did. I can't wait for a sequel!

Summary: What is anti-feminist about Julia Roberts eating snails?
Review: This book makes a great present for girl friends who "don't have time" or are "too tired" to go to the movie theater. I got it as a gift and was asked to choose a few videos, which were then delivered by my spectacular roommate so I could spend my few hours off relaxing at home in my pyjamas. My only complaint is that they diss Pretty Woman.

Summary: Not too bad...
Review: This book was cute and had its good points, such as rating the movies with the best clothes and apartments and the cute little quotes, but it also had its drawbacks. First of all these girls are just a little too fond of the metaphor-they use it in almost every review and it gets annoying after awhile. Also they review entirely too many "chick flicks." I like them as much as the next person, but sometimes you just need a good action flick. Also they review a lot of old movies that are really hard to find. I'd have liked to see some newer ones. And finally, they criticize a lot of the movies based on whether they portray their female characters as strong or not. All in all, it was just ok, but I'd recommend their other book, "Advanced Cinematherapy," or if you like books, check out "Bibliotherapy."

Summary: Women Rule!
Review: This book was great for choosing a mood movie but also just for reading. The authors present realistic view points without any preachyness. I found myself reading cover to cover, laughing, nodding and remembering. What a great gift for ones self and friends. Can't wait for the sequel.

Summary: This book was great!!
Review: This book was witty, funny, insightful and informative. I have seen most of the movies reviewed in this book, but have often felt was I the only one who thought this about perhaps a character, plot line, emotional impact, etc. Of course the authors have hit it on the nail head every time. I hope they are working on a second book on this same subject. These girls can't go wrong. I loved it!!

Summary: Cinematherapy : The Girl's Guide to Movies for Every Mood
Review: This sassy, witty book is great fun even if you haven't seen the movies mentioned. Every woman should be able to identify with the tongue-in-cheek categorizations and comments. I'm ready to hear more from these bright ladies.

Summary: Pass the popcorn please!
Review: This was the best Christmas gift I received this year. These girls did their homework! Funny and well written, even just browsing the book puts a smile on your face when you're feeling down. The selections are very fitting to our every mood and easy to locate (critical in moments of stress). This will be a gift that I am sure to share with my treasured girlfriends, (hey! I even shared some of it with my husband!). Great gift idea for the special friend or woman in your life.

Summary: I returned it
Review: Tries to be hip, and isn't. Seems to be put together as a novelty idea. Everyone has an opinion, but I don't see anything here that makes the authors' opinions important. I don't agree with the other reviews. Must be the neighbors writing in. The pros who have been doing it for years and arent looking to be cute and clever do it better.
