Rating: Summary: Posters Are Still Funny Review: Micah Wright is a political satirist of the first order. With a keen eye for hypocrisy and brutal, biting wit, Wright pulls no punches in this excellent and powerful collection of his remixed and repurposed war propaganda posters. Wright may have lied about his military background, but that doesn't make his work or his views or his message any less poignant or important. In fact, that the political dissent of a former soldier is deemed by so many to be more valid or meaningful or worthy of respect than that of a civilian says more about the sorry state of political discourse in this country than it does about about Wright's character. "You Back the Attack" is an important and inspired book that should be judged on its own--considerable--merits.
Rating: Summary: He writes fiction...so what if he wants to live fiction Review: I don't share Mr. Wright's politics but some of the posters in this book are hilarious. And he managed to fool everyone for a long time with the stories about being a Ranger. I don't really care. I figure I pay for him to write fiction (specifically Stormwatch: Team Achilles), so if he wants to live it, that's his life.
Rating: Summary: Get Over It!!! Review: Hey, so Micah lied about his military service -- so did George Bush. And he's the "president". So get over it! This book still works, and the content is still true. Micah Wright for president -- "Misson Accomplished!"
