Summary: First Amendment a go-go
Review: After seeing a few of Mr. Wright's posters on-line, I decided to pick up his new book. I feel as though this is a discussion that NEEDED to be started.

People fear saying what they think because they don't want to be marked as "Un-American." These Labelers seem to forget that speaking your mind or "Free Speech" is exactly what this country is all about. It's what has made this country so great since the start.

Mr. Wright is not down on America as much as dogging the Vocal Minority that 'runs' this country. It's a ministry built on Fear and Ignorance and, judging by these 'reviews' some people want to keep it this way.

The remixed artwork is Inventive and Smart with some poignant moments. The truly sad part is that some of the more harsh comments were barely reworked at all.

These Ideologies were always there, Mr. Wright is just bringing them, stunningly, to the forefront.

Summary: Now In Hardcover!
Review: I was familiar with Wright's work at "The Propaganda Remix Project" and this is the result of that work in progress.

It amuses me to see the knee-jerk responses from the Terribly Serious, both left and right, to work of this sort.

One of the first signs of mindless fanaticism is the loss of your sense of humor. If you can look at this stuff and laugh, as a neocon, you're still safe to be around. If you look at it as a liberal and start punching the air in solidary, you ain't. :)

There's PLENTY of posters that could be "remixed" in the other direction; and I hope that Wright will get to it soon. With any luck, the next administration will give him ample reason to do so.

Leave the in-depth political analysis to the anal-retentive - don't criticize it for being what it never was meant to be. This book is a wonderful ironic comment about patriotism, popular culture and your place in it.

Summary: Thank God Someone Has the Guts to Speak up
Review: I'm sick and tired of this attitude prevalent today that Americans are entitled to freedom of speech ONLY when they parrot the right wing's nonsense.

Well done, Mr. Wright.....war is NOT fun and games!

Summary: Minions gaming the system
Review: I see Micah's minions are still attempting to game Amazon and the review board. Still upset that your attempt to pre-order his Stormwatch comic book through Amazon didn't prevent it's cancellation by DC Comics?

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: He writes fiction...so what if he wants to live fiction
Review: I don't share Mr. Wright's politics but some of the posters in this book are hilarious. And he managed to fool everyone for a long time with the stories about being a Ranger. I don't really care. I figure I pay for him to write fiction (specifically Stormwatch: Team Achilles), so if he wants to live it, that's his life.

Summary: Get Over It!!!
Review: Hey, so Micah lied about his military service -- so did George Bush. And he's the "president". So get over it! This book still works, and the content is still true. Micah Wright for president -- "Misson Accomplished!"

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The truth still's the truth
Review: So he lied. Are his posters lies? Noy at all. Why is it that the right wing people never have decent, logical reasons to defend themselves, but always do things like crush reputations, slander, insult, burn books etc.? Because they know they are wrong and hate to be told so.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Whoops! Must have forgot
Review: As other have noted, Micah Wright fabricated an entire military career and wrote about it, claiming he was an Army Ranger. Readers of this, and other books of his might take this into account in determing the truth of his various assertions, such as the soldiers he claims to have spoken to. But don't hold your breath waiting for Al Francken to write "Micah Ian Wright is a big fat liar" ;-)

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: A pathetic piece of work from a lying sociopath
Review: A pathetic, trite piece of trash. The only evidence of creative imagination is in Mr. Wright's falsified claims of service as an Army Ranger.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Micah Wright is a LIAR.
Review: Micah Wright lied about his service as an Army Ranger. He dropped out of ROTC in college, and never served in the military otherwise. Then he used that fictional service to beat critics over the head, and to sell anti-war books. That makes him a WAR PROFITEER.

Don't believe me? Look him up in the Washington Post, or online.
