Summary: Satisfactory, eye-opening read, but falls short.
Review: This book was fairly good. I think Mary Kay Baxter does a good job and she's doing a good thing wanting to convert people to Christianity. Things that happen in this book, though, what with worms, etc. gets repetitive. How many times can you read about a person picking worms from their skeleton, or dingy-gray souls trapped inside their skeletons before it becomes less and less of a shock and boring? Personally, I feel that the book is good, though a little far-fetched at times. Being a Christian myself, I can't DISPROVE what she says, put I also can't say a word of this has any truth to it either.

Summary: Time to wake up and get ready!
Review: The author of this book shares her testimony how Jesus took her to hell for 40 days and showed her various realms of hell. The main point that really got my attention was the type of the people that were described in hell. These were people that were living their lives to the fullest. Like the preacher who became greedy by stealing from the offerings. This preacher taught half-lies and half-truths which led many astray. Another example was the faithful wife whose husband cheated on her with her best friend. The husband repented and asked for forgiveness, but the wife did not forgive him. She later consumed hatred in her heart and killed both her husband and the best friend. This act led her to hell. Whether it's false preachers or cheating spouses we all know someone who possesses characteristics such as greed and hate. I feel the author's intent was to make people aware of their lifestyle and how they treat other people. I am not a bible scholar but I do know no one is exempt from the day of judgement.

Summary: I Believe This Revelation Is Truly From The Lord
Review: In the book the author describes what Jesus showed her about Hell. In fact Jesus took Mary into the spirit realm and into actual Hell and showed her several people who are condemned there. This was done over a course of 40 days. Mary Baxter saw the torment and suffering that the damned were and are suffering. I have read this book several times and have compared what is described in Baxter's book with the Bible. I also have prayed and listened to the Holy Spirit concerning the author's truthfulness. I believe what the author is saying because: (1) It is very consistent with all that the Bible has to say about Hell, and (2) The Holy Spirit has confirmed in my heart that what the author says is a true testimony.

Also take note of the scripture passage 2 Cor 12:1-4 where the Apostle Paul states: "It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell; God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell; God knoweth;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter." (1 Corinthians 12:1-4)

From this passage we can conclude that believers having spiritual revelations of the after life (either Heaven or Hell) is not impossible and has happened before, in accordance with what God wills. Considering that God is all powerful and has created everything -- the heavens, the earth, the plants, the animals, man, everything -- surely it is not impossible for God to give an individual a spiritual revelation.

Summary: I'm putting this book ONLINE, so people don't have to buy..
Review: I'm planning to put this book online so people don't have to buy it for 10 bucks. And i also want to know about the copyrighted thing, if Mary sue me, then the book is a hoax because the purpose is one, that is, to get as many people as much to know about God, not to get money by selling books. i dunno if she get any money from this or not. Unfortunately, i am an indonesian and i'm putting the whole content of the book in indonesian language for indonesian reader.. if you are american, maybe you can do the same with me.... I have read the book, and maybe it's true, maybe it's not, some of it is probably not the truth.. but one thing i believe for sure, is GOD. Just pray everyday, read the Holy Bible, and believe in God, always.

Summary: a tremendous wake up call !!!
Review: what a pleasure it was to read a book that was life changing. I hope it will change the life of everyone who reads it,because hell is real whiter you belive or don't!

Summary: Very interesting book!
Review: However, this one should be placed in the Religous Fiction Section. I could not help but be amazed at her discription of how Jesus quieted the damned, tormented souls in hell by saying "Peace". Peace! What kind of peace could these poor souls possibly find in hell? What an increadibly strange and cruel thing for Jesus to say.

I'm sorry, but there is nothing Divine in this book nor is there any Relevation.

Summary: This book will change your life!! It did mine.
Review: Even if you think you are on the right track, it is never enough, as you will learn from this book. It is for believers and non believers. Hell IS real and Mary K Baxter will tell you why. You DON'T want to go there!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Will bring you to your knees for your lost loved ones!
Review: There will be arguments from some that this book is not Biblically based. If that's all you're looking for, you're missing the point. The point is to drive home into the non-believer that Hell exists and you don't want to go there. It drives it home into the believer that we can no longer sit idlely by while our loved ones are headed toward an eternity in a place more horrible that we can imagine! Read this book and you will begin to weep and travail for the lost. You will gain a new desire for an evangelistic heart!

Summary: A MUST READ FOR THOSE WHO DESIRE HEAVEN!!
Review: A friend told me about this book, and even after explaining it's contents to me, I felt compelled to read it. I bought it that day! As soon as the book was sent to me, I couldn't put it down. Baxter's story is very believable! There are many sceptics to this book, however, I would just like to say if Baxter explains hell in such a horrid way, why would she possibly want to place herself in such a place by deceiving a nation with lies? I believe this book to be true. I recommend it to everyone. I am 19 years-old and with this book, I have realized where my life is going and what I am doing wrong. You can not go wrong with GOD!! There must be some validity to this book for all people - even if you do not believe it 100%. You must believe there is a hell and YOU CAN go there if you don't know your God. I pray for the people who will not believe in the reality of hell until they are burning there.
