Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Scotch in the rocks
Review: This book was written just before WWII, and involves a small group of people that go and live up in the fastness of a hidden glen of the Scottish Highlands to get away from an impending war. It's grim, it's eerie, and it's a tale of survival. The idea is basic, getting food and hiding evidence of their existence is a daily hazard etc, but in many senses it doesn't just prophesy WWII, but also the '60s peace & "back to the land" movements.
