Review: A friend loaned me the author's other book, "The Singing Tree: An Alchymical Fable," which I really enjoyed. I decided to check out this other title. The two books are quite different, but equally entertaining, for the story and the ideas. Readers familiar with archeo-astronomy (a new subject for me) will connect to this tale of adventure in Antarctica quickly, I suspect, but you don't need any background in star lore, ancient civilizations, or pole shift theory to get into this fascinating tale. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it. It's far better written than more popular thrillers like DaVinci Code; the characters are three dimensional, the story is fast paced, and the ideas are challenging.
