Rating: Summary: Outstanding and brutally true. Review: This book is a must read if you have had, are having or do not want to have any dealings with Children and Youth Services. It was extremely easy to read, smooth and continually flowing. The characters are very well defined. I could picture them in my mind and actually feel what they were feeling. Once you turn the first page, you will not want to put the book down until you have reached the last page. The series of horrifying events this man encountered makes you think, it could not get any worse, but it does! Fantastic, gripping, horrifying. Read it!
Rating: Summary: Wake up America Review: Very good story. Excellant description of the ignorence in our system today. The author gives a striking example of a modern day witch hunt. In this story a system that is designed to protect the infrastructure of the American family, has in fact destroyed an american family. I think we all need to read this book and take a good look at the plight of this man and his children. CYS has done more than just fumbled an investigation it has left a permenant mark on a mans life, and more important, destroyed a relationhip between a father and his children. I highly recommend this book for everyone to read.
Rating: Summary: A True, Gripping Story . . . It Could Happen To You Review: What would you do if one day two police officers came to your front door and arrested you, accusing you of molesting your own child? You're thrust into a nightmare you could never have imagined, betrayed by someone you loved and trusted, scared out of your mind. If you think it couldn't happen to you, think again! "The Price of Innocence" is a must read for every American -- the true, gripping story of how the very system designed to protect our children tore one family apart, shattered relationships, destroyed a man's reputation, taxed him financially, and nearly drove him to the very edge. In a modern-day witch hunt, a father accused of an awful crime is presumed guilty and must prove himself innocent. In cases like these, "innocence until proven guilty" is a myth of the American judicial system. And this is not an isolated case. How long could you hold on with only hope to sustain you, the hope that you might one day see your children again? Just how high is the price of innocence? . . . Only pray that you will never have to find out . . .
