Review: Before reading this book, I was told that the author had this work of fiction set in his childhood home - 6 miles from where I live. I immediately wanted to read it for that reason. And the book really brought back memories of my life on a tobacco farm. But the most pleasant surprise was the story - a "who done it" from a young boy's perspective. It was a fascinating read and the ending was not predictable. I loved it - a wonderful mystery!

I would recommend the book to any southerner who longs to get a glimpse of their past, or anyone else who would like to be enlightened on rural tobacco farm life, while being entertained along the way!
