Rating: Summary: Delen Close a Captivating Read Review: After the first few pages one get "hooked" with this book and it is difficult to put down for very long. The writer must have brought many of his own experiences abroad and in the world of finance to the table in order to be able to describe places, systems and the hearts of greedy men with such accuracy in a fast paced story. The characters come alive to the extent you feel you have met such people before. A thick and twisty plot presented with great skill. Let's hear more from this author...and soon!
Rating: Summary: A Twisted Path To Nazis Plunder Review: Here is a book that mirrors the the real world intrigue of Nazis plunder, the dirty secrets of Swiss banking and the greed of all those cought up with the race to claim the gold hidden away in the a bank vault of Europe for the past 50 years. This is a well written story which carefully and clearly develops the inner character of each involved and the greed and promises never kept. Its a page turner that you really will not want or dare to set down for fear of missing the next twist of events unfolding before you. Always a fan of Ludlum, I marvel at the skill of this author to equally be able to bring a story to life so that the reader is living each exciting moment as it unfolds. By the way, finally an author has given us a detailed list of each character in the book so that we can clearly check their role and relationship.
Rating: Summary: 'Delen Close' , Souls Colliding in Time Review: Spanning fifty years and three generations, Crosby's carefully crafted tale portrays criminal greed and ambition, arrogance and deception. The Nazi desire for power collides with their later preference for obscurity. In this novel of international intrigue, Crosby portrays the Nazi character quest for wealth on a very personal level, rare in modern novels of World War II. He draws a clear and startling epic of individual wealth achieved through the suffering of millions, its curse eventually turning upon corporate leaders worldwide. Portraying this personal drama in venues and corporate settings familiar to all, Crosby draws disturbing but plausible connections to elements we recognize instantly from the headlines, ... corporate kidnappings, ... 'random' murders, and domestic terrorism. The author creates clear and convincing connections, which will haunt the reader as credible, and convincing. "Delen Close" is an intricate and absorbing yarn in a context that will stay with the reader. I felt, at times, that I might take notes to help me unravel the intricacies of the plot, and to understand the twists in time which are to be, I suspect, hallmarks of this author's style. An engaging first novel by this author, "Delen Close" is a tantalizing story of tainted wealth, its malignant effect on those who acquired it, and the corrupting effect on all who touch it. His military, corporate, and international experience combine in this author's work to give the reader a glimpse at places and times most will never know.
