Summary: VERY GOOD BOOK!!!!!!!
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed reading the thriller/drama Datoga Island. Kudos to the author who has pulled off an exemplary project. It's got something for everyone. The description of the scenery allows you to taste and smell the rain forest as you are taken on a wild ride of drama, romance, and adventure through the ominous jungle. As a female reader, I wasn't sure I'd be up for an action adventure story. But this tale is different. Its unique in the fact that it tugs at the basic human elements of morality, desperation, and good old fashioned curiosity. And the ending is simply unbelievable. The build up to the ending is magnificent and then the reader is simply blown away by the ending itself! I can't get over how original the ending was. You won't be disappointed! One of the most original plots to come our way in a very long time. I would love to see this made into a movie! Thumbs up recommendation!!! Excellent read!!!!! Loved it!!!!!

Review: This book was totally cool. It REALLY got me hooked on this author. Some people don't like the political intrigue in these types of books but I think it is one of the most fascinating things about them. That Chetan Davé can master so many characters is amazing. That there is a different, original plot around this book is stunning. I like the fact that the story contains exquisite scenes. A varied cast including the adventure racer and a local island girl who are together swept into danger. This leads of course to a little romance. Mostly though this book is good action/adventure. Another thing that I think is a definite pro is the fact that we get two or three story lines developing simultaneously, all coming together for a spectacular ending. This book is definitely a worthwhile addition to any fiction fan's collection.

Review: This was a nice fast paced read. The setting contributes to the suspense along with an enjoyable plot. I have to hand it to the author for coming up with a very original ending concept. The adventure comes in waves and slowly builds to the entertaining climax. Lots of twists and turns in the story which lead to a suspenseful read. Fairly thorough description of the tropical environment sets the mood perfectly for the spooky action sequences. The plot does not take itself too seriously which allows the story to progress smoothly without a lot of unnecessary fluff. The opening chapters are fast and the rest of the book is even faster which leads to ta thrill ride of an experience.(Those of you who have read it will know what I'm talking about). It really is a thrilling journey for the characters as well as the reader.
