Rating: Summary: Excellent African adventure Review: An enjoyable read about Zimbabwe. Anyone who has ever lived there or visted there should read it. You can almost smell that unique smell of Kariba, or hear the cry of the fish eagle with the descriptions laid out in the book. The cultural anecdotes or references are a real treat! Excellent descriptive writing with a story you will want to know the end of once you start the book. Well worth reading.
Rating: Summary: A great thriller Review: I was captivated right from the first page and enjoyed rediscovering Zimbabwe and England having lived in both countries. The author has built up some interesting characters which made for great reading. I highly recommend this to book to anyone who would like to read a great thriller set in Africa.
Rating: Summary: A Great read for all Zimbabweans Review: One of the few adventure novels set in Zimbabwe. This book excellently paints a vivid picture of the country's beauty and mystery. Mr. St Michael has a definite grasp on story telling and the ability to weave it into his surroundings. I couldn't put it down. His background in motivational speaking lends itself well to many of his inspirational "one liners" through-out the book. (Worth the cover price alone). A great read!
