Summary: Good Book
Review: Annotation: Hillary Baxter has become a top NY model after leaving her home town in Kansas three years ago. She left not in search of fame or glamour, but for a chance to be successful on her own. With her striking features and photogenic smile, modeling seemed to be the way to go. She gets a big job working for Brett Bardoff, the owner of a huge magazine. Brett is good looking, rich, confident, arrogant, and intimidating. Hillary a small-town girl is finding it hard to resist the charm of her new employer, who is leaving her defenseless. But as Brett discovers the innocence behind Hillary's world famous face, it will be Brett who is left defenseless.
This is a sweet, simple story about Hillary Baxter, a New York model with small-town values and Bret Bardoff, the magazine owner who hires her for a fashion photography project. I like the way Nora Roberts started the characters off on the wrong foot, it makes the story interesting from the beginning. In this case model Hillary is bad-mouthing magazine owner Bret Bardoff to the handsome stranger that has walked into her photographer's studio, realizing too late that the stranger is the famous Brett Bardoff. Throughout the book she tries to keep the relationship strictly professional, even though they both want more. There are a few obstacles and they both fight the pull, but the ending is very romantic.

Summary: Storyline
Review: Beneath her sophisticated beauty, fashion model Hillary Baxter was still just a small-town girl from Kansas. How could she be expected to resist the devastating charm of her new employer, mesmerizing magazine mogul Bret Bardoff? Bret knew all the moves, all the right things to say to leave a woman defenseless. But as he discovered the alluring innocence behind Hillary's world-famous face, it was Bret who was left defenseless...against the pull of his own heart.

#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts will captivate readers with this enchanting classic romance.

Summary: Out dated
Review: This novel was written almost 20 years ago and as such, is pretty outdated. My problem with it is that the relationship is not an equal one. She's a sweet, young innocent while he's a powerful older man. He leads the entire way and she lets him and falls in love. Back in the 1980s I might have found this a great book.
