Rating: Summary: Riveting, Funny, Exotic, Elaborate, Mysterious. Review: Go on a Fast Paced Hike With Hazel Lacks.Follow her up through Alpine meadows, gaze at glorious scenery. Meet her Endorphine charged group, complete with boots, Goretex and nice, deep character development. Hike above tree line in Glacier. Check out the local scene, go on a Helicopter rescue; and suddenly realize there's a Killer in your group. Chee, Leaphorn, Kinsey, I think you have company. What a Book!
Rating: Summary: Excellent First Book Review: Hazel Lacks shows maturity for a first author. Her characters are well-developed; the settings come to life; and the tale encourages the reader to turn the pages to find out what happens next. I can picture this book as a movie because so many scenes are graphic and the natural mountain environment seems haunting.
Rating: Summary: I could have read instead Review: I started this book while visiting one of the most beautiful spots on earth - Sedona, Arizona- and found myself thinking about the book and wanting to get back to it, in spite of the beautiful scenery and wonderful hiking I was experiencing in real life. Ms. Lacks has written an engrossing and exciting first mystery. I loved it!! I can't wait for her next one to come out!
