Rating: Summary: The Cold Rider Review: "The Cold Rider" by Sam Pisciotta was a good read. I thoroughly enjoyed the way characters were given "body" making them seem like real people. The story line was interwoven with historical events and small details that led the reader on a journey from the Eastern Seaboard to the Rocky Mountains in the early 1800's. A good mix of history, romance and action. I recommend it and would like to see a sequel.

Rating: Summary: "The Cold Rider" by Samuel Joseph Pisciotta Review: Mr. Pisciotta's facts appear to be historically accurate and his characters are well developed. Some readers may have some difficulty in reading some "conversations", but Mr. Pisciotta appears to have intentionally written as people of the era may have spoken. Once the reader catches on to the author's intent, the conversations become easier to read and a certain flavor is added. Mr. Pisciotta's first literary effort is a good "read".
