Summary: Very Disappointing
Review: All the characters, especially Liz, are snobs! She's suppose to be an experienced lawyer. Yet she can't believe anyone with money can commit a crime. I expected more from the book after reading the reviews and the synopsis. There should be more focus on the mind behind the murder or at least the relationships, but its shady on both points. I was let down.

Summary: Good story--weak characters
Review: I recommend this book simply because the story is interesting. It's not particularly well written. The dialog is flat. The characters are props to move the plot along. The big secret that drives Jeff the detective doesn't even make sense given that the man with whom he identifies is the richest man in Oakwood...(you'll see what I mean if you read the book). The only character trait of Liz's that I can put my finger on is that she wants to lose weight....And yet, as I stated, I'd still recommend the book. There's something about the unraveling of the crime that kept me reading. I may even read more from this author--maybe her writing will improve.

Summary: Too Good To Be True!!
Review: If you want a great book, this is the book for you. I couldn't put it down at all. The story was excellent, and could easily have been mistaken for a true story. The characters were well developed, and this would make an great blockbuster film.
