Summary: Very helpful
Review: Apart from a verdant tuft of chest hair peering coquettishly between my double-wide lapels, I find that nothing says "sophisticated urban living" like gelatin-based salads. (My roommate Eduardo says "sophisticated urban living," but between his lisp and his Guatamalan accent, I am hard-pressed to make out every other word.) Well, last week Eduardo's sister was in town and she confessed that my elegant radish molds simply flabbergasted her. I was optimistic that I had finally found a surrogate mother who could provide my hamster, Lord Caversham, with some sorely lacking warmth and discipline. Alas, it was not to be. The wooziness that I mistook for affection was entirely the effect of bad sprouts. Eduardo and I are still enjoying the radish molds, however.

Summary: ???
Review: Impossible start. Fails to catch interest, sorry. Fascinated with 90's drug culture?? Is that the gimmick? Oh. sordid, maudlin interest more like. Unjustified violence isn't nice.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: unbelievable!
Review: well, this book is definitely not for the light-hearted or weak-stomached or well, most people. but if you are into the bizarre, fascinated by the 90's drug culture, and just looking for a wild ride, this is definitely a great read! i found myself reading passages to my friends and lending the book once i was done! it's full of twists and turns and gratutious violence and drugs and everything is somehow connected!
