Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Sharp New Talent
Review: Digby is the first novel from up-and-comer Timothy Lee Bonnette Jr. It is a fascinating read as the book keeps you moving along as you read, you want to know more about what is going on but you also want to know more and more about each character. Bonnette gives such a uniquenes to each character that you don't see in many freshman efforts. Bonnette's knowledge quite surpasses many writers of his age. Being only 19 years old this work competes with many first time writers twice his age. In the shadow of Hemingway, Bonnette is a very much a man's man. This comes through in his writing. Nature, courage, power and ultimately retribution are what life is all about. The career of Bonnette will be an interesting one to follow. Digby is a must for any would be writers. Take a cue from Bonnette and write what you know and just write.
