Summary: Based on a True work of Genius
Review: Based on a True Story
by Zachary Hudson

A few things you should know before buying this book. It isnt available in the shops and it is an amazing piece of debut fiction
The story opens in an Incan village which is about to be bulldozed where at the same time, a mysterious find in unearthed.
Though this find can save the forest, no one actually knows what it is and in true X-Files tradition. Everyone wants it.
The story truly begins when Teen Rock star Dana Peterson is abducted from stage mid show by a bunch of men dressed in aprons and body paint bearing the name Happy Mart. All this happens in front of her violin-playing boyfriend who isnt fazed as he thinks its all part of the act!
The case of the missing idol (Dana, not the artefact) is assigned to Jack Knudsen, FBI, a man who is suffering from the worst morning of his life only to find that life has got a whole lot more complicated.
And as he tries to put the pieces together he is joined along the way with the violin player, a computer hacker, a truck driver and a bounty hunter with a soft side from Victorias Secret.
This motley crew of individuals is according to the author based on a true story! Wherever you believe that statement is up to you but by the end I wished I truly did!
Like most writers Zach has taken what he knows about the world and twisted it into A unique mix of romance, comedy and conspiracy theory, the dialogue is witty and original and not at all to be taken seriously from the most unlikely group of heroes since the A-Team, bickering about who gets to ride shotgun. For those of you who dont know its the Americanism for riding in the passenger side of a car! Only later to have a discussion on the teaching of Gandhi while beating up a group of bad guys.
The book also contains an alternative look at the supermarket chain stores, which I wont spoil.
Occasionally I forgot about the artefact they were all looking for because I was having too good a time with the dialogue ands it seems that the author also shared that sentiment and has to be reminded that they were actually looking for something. Maybe thats what the author intended, I dont know. For this reason its a great novel but not brilliant
But what this book does serve is to give us a glimpse into the talents of Zach Hudson who manages to turn a simply kidnap into a struggle for world domination.
PS: Its on its first print run so buy it, as it WILL be collectable.

Summary: My Girlfriend has some talented friends...
Review: This book is (to put it as bluntly as Zachary Hudson does)the best one you could ever read. I loved this book. The humor, the style, and almost everything else about it is the most awesome piece of literature imaginable. I only hope to aspire what Mr. Hudson has done. Good show, my good man! Encore!

~Jay Hash

PS: My Girlfriend is Charlie. No not metaphorically, Literally. No joke. Although the names were changed, boy oh boy was it interesting to see her in it. ;-)
