Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very Readable
Review: The consumate salesman Bernie Vortel and the philosopher Ike Tippock team up to combine their odd, yet effective, talents to try to make their their fortunes and make names for themselves. The murder of "Gypsy" the nickname for an executive of the insurance and real-estate company started by Bernie and Ike--brings together the cast of colorful characters. Among these are not only Bernie and Tippock, but a couple of homicide detectives known as "The Suits" and a bevy of fun-loving young women whose opinions and values are in the right place. "A Gypsy in Tumbleweed" is not so muuch a book in the mystery genre as it is an entertaining portrayal of the scheming characters and the antics of contemporary society. Author Jay Arnet has switched from nonfiction to fiction for this work. His previous work, "How to Develop a Million Dollar Sales Presentation" published by Prentice-Hall was a Business Book of the Month selection.
