Rating: Summary: Must Read Review: Whether you read this book's prequel, Magy la Magnifica or not, you should read MB. It is a riveting tale of a heroic woman's desire to repay her homeland (Argentina) for the support its people gave her as she rose to the top of the international tennis world. As MB begins, Magy is back on the ranch where she was born after becoming the most highly paid and ranked female tennis player in the world. She thinks she has retired to enjoy life with her two kids and American husband, the man who saved her life ten years earlier. But instead she is forced into conflict with a cabal of right wing generals who hate her because she helped a man escape their grasp. When the Genrals kill Magy's best friend in an effort to kill her, she decides to fight back. The book is mostly about her campaign her unique campaign for the presidency and then what she does after becoming president. It then roars along to a surprising and sad conclusion. It is the story of a strong woman and the man who helped her find that strength. I loved it and the fact it proffers several unique ways by which nations can deal with their problems.
