Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent! Review: ... Childishly simple sentence structure? This is not supposed to be great literature, it is supposed to be fun! they have obviously never read a romance by a certain publisher based in Canada if that is the case. I was genuinely interested in Clarissa and Julian's relationship and how it worked itself out. If by a predictable ending, the nasty previous review means that they get to live happily ever after, well, yes, that is what romances are all about. But there is plenty of suspense and action to prevent that from happening if the two don't learn to trust each other and keep their wits about them. The race against time to prevent disaster, the anguish of the past as Julian tries to discover whether or not Clarissa really did try to kill him five years before, this is the stuff of a good fast-paced romantic thriller, and I wan't the least bit disappointed. I can't wait to read more by this excellent and obviously talented writer.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Nonsense Review: Ghost from the Past is the silliest novel I have ever read. The book is filled with poor grammar, childishly simple sentence structure, and misspellings. Furthermore, there is virtually no character development to engage the reader. The plot is almost interesting, but the ending is quite predictable and not very credible in light of the weird relationship that the two main characters share. It did make me laugh, but I don't think that was the author's intent.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Worst book I've read in years Review: I wish I had heeded the words of the reviewer who commented on the poor sentence structure, etc. instead of listening to the people who loved the book. The plot summary sounded fantastic, but very shortly into the book I knew it was a loser. Julian's constant flip-flopping from concerned ex-lover (witness his 'anguish' that she might have drowned in the tub) to tough man (drugging her and tying her up!?) all in the first few pages was ludicrous and right there the book lost any credibility or believability it might have had for me. I am only thankful that I didn't order more books by this author at the same time. On the other hand, given that several people obviously loved the book, I am contemplating a second career as a novelist. I don't think I could do much worse.
