Summary: Thoughts on the Novel MAGAZINE
Review: AHHH, finally a novel about Irish Americans where we are not portrayed as poor, drunken idjits. It is wonderful to see different roads of our textured culture explored in depth. Magazine is an interesting tale of the publishing industry in Chicago, with some trips to County Limerick, Ireland thrown in for good measure. This novel has an interesting cast of characters that keep the pages turning quickly. It is white glove mystery that takes the reader on an intereseting journey through the boardrooms and bedrooms of corporate publishing. I highly recommend MAGAZINE.

Summary: Magazine Is A Winner
Review: Magazine is a splendid reading experience. A nice break from all of the PIs and lawyers, this book goes inside the world of big business. Plenty of mystery in an involving plot executed with plenty of intriguing characters.Jim Mallon spins a fine yarn.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: DATELINE: COUNTY TYRONE
Review: Mallon's opus of ethnic magnatude brings together the ethnic and capitalist struggle that every immigrant in this country faces. America is a country that continually reinvents itself with it's the rush of "vox populi"; but in the end, all newcomers are Americans and this is an American story.
