Rating: Summary: Exceptional! Review: Just who are the "Whipper Snappers?" Where did they come from and what have they done? And yet a better question; Why would they all agree to the deed that they did? I am still not sure.
Mr. Tanos weaves quite a web of mystery concerning the four men who are so named "The Whipper Snappers" in his latest work. However to me, the mystery was trying to untangle the workings of their minds, what made them tick, what drove them to their unfortunate destiny! Four computer guru's, part of a once in a lifetime class, as their teacher Professor Holt would say, are the main characters of this novel. After all, the Professor should know, he named the four students didn't he? He was sure they would take the world by the tail and make something out of themselves. However, these men lacked the moral fiber that truly makes a man great in anything that he does.
Which one of the four had courage, honor, or even human decency? What drove these young men to follow a leader that controlled their every thought and action? Was it greed or merely an easy out for men who excelled in intellect yet lacked the simple trait to direct their own destiny The remains of a young woman are found. A woman all the characters had been involved with. Why was she thrown into a shallow grave as some piece of garbage? Was indeed the lifestyle of leisure more important then respect for a fellow human being, especially one that had shared their passion and love? Interested yet?
Mr. Tanos again shows his talent as a writer of yet another exceptional work. Taking the reader into the minds of his characters, as sinister as some of them may be, and allowing you to explore the workings within, yet giving you freedom to enjoy being an onlooker. Quite an achievement in a read.
"Whipper Snappers" -- this one will prick your mind and leave you wondering why!
