Around age 50, Jerry returned to his youth. He committed adultery, bigamy, and contemplated murder. All during this time, Jerry was a model husband, father, employee, and citizen. Everybody loved him, but Jerry had a dark side which was brought out by the other woman. She reminded him of the two people he hated most in life--his mother and grandmother. They fitted together like a glove. He had a need to lash out and hurt to rid himself of the inner rage, and the other woman had a need to be hurt because of her abusive background. Later when Jerry demanded a divorce, the other woman phoned Jerry's wife. She was furious and wanted both of their heads on a plate. Fortunately, Jerry worked through his demons. He had to get his life back. He couldn't let his boys, friends, neighbors, relatives, and co-workers find out about his dark side. He had to focus, meshed his two personalities together and worked to resolved his rage. He got the divorce, paid the other woman off, then went into counseling with his wife to save their marriage.
