Summary: Move over Cross
Review: Alex Cross will have to share the spotlight in the D.C. area for myster characters. Hannibal Jones is an investigator with an attitude.

Austin Camacho has a way of twisting the plot so you don't know what is going to happen next while carefully leading you (through Hannibal Jones) to the core of the mystery. Blood and Bone is a perfect example. You really care about the teenager with cancer and want to punish the people responsible for keeping Hannibal from helping to find the appropriate bone marrow donor.

Summary: Blood and Bone is an action packed ride
Review: Blood and Bone has all the elements of a great story; intriguing characters you love or hate, a steady readable pace, interesting dialoque and action, and a twisting plot with surprises. The writing is tight and descriptive. I can't wait to read more Hannibal Jones Mysteries.

Summary: Blood and Bones keeps the adrenalin flowing.
Review: Great read! I thoroughly enjoyed feeling a part of Hannibal Jones life. Mr. Camacho not only developed an interesting and believable story line he writes with the ability to make you feel you are there , fully participating in the excitement. The only drawback to this read is that absolutely nothing was accomplished at my house from the time I picked it up until I was finished reading it. Snacks, OK but forget fixing real meals and forget housework......I had better things to experience with Hannibal and his friends. I look forward to the next installment.

Summary: An Exciting Tale and an Awesome Hero
Review: Hannibal Jones is not your typical PI. He's not your typical action hero. He is a true "troubleshooter" and is written to be smart, passionate and intriguing. I met the author while visiting Columbia, MD and I found the description of my former stomping grounds of Baltimore and Washington DC interesting. I bought both of Mr. Camacho's books at a book signing at Wine in the Woods and once I got into Blood and Bone, I couldn't believe how wonderfully the characters were written and the story kept me guessing until the end.

Summary: this should be a movie or a series
Review: I have never been a person who reads this type of book...blood, guts and action but I love this novel. I was recently in the hospital and since I knew I would have lots of time to read I brought Austin's book, Blood and Bones. I could not put it down. The nurses would tell me to stop reading and rest but I could not. This novel is so action filled...just wonderful. I think Austin should think about making his novel's into a tv series....Hannibal Jones is a great character. I also read Collatoral Damage when I was recuperating at home from my surgury...and it was even better than the first novel. I love Austin's books and look forward to reading more. Great stuff...keep up the great work.

Summary: Awesome mystery novel
Review: I just finished the novel "Blood and Bone"...AWESOME!! I love a good mystery...usually read Patterson, Grisham, Higgins-Clark..I couldn't put this book down. What a refreshing approach to the world of mystery novels. The characters are like a breath of fresh air in a smoky room. The descriptions are colorful. Liked the way he developed them, keeping in mind they have to be interesting if there are to be any follow up novels. Hannibal is life size, interesting, definitely worth pursuing, surrounds his self with believable characters. Sarge will remind people of someone they can identify with, a person they have met before. Like the way the he weaves them into the plot.
Getting ready to go back to school to get my masters degree. Know I'll have a ton of required reading to do. :( Figure I owe it to myself to allot a little time to sit in the sun and relax. What better way than with a good mystery novel. Blood and Bone by Austin S. Camacho came highly recommended. I was NOT disappointed. Looking forward to more of the same. Keep up the good
work!!

Summary: Irresistible Read!
Review: I read the glowing reviews before I bought B & B, so I should have been prepared. Still, I didn't expect to stay up all night to finish it! I've always gotten sick when I didn't get enough sleep.I know better. Slumber is holy to me. Camacho was the first author to break my discipline in two decades. (The last being Henry James.) I knew that I'd end up paying for my weakness, but I didn't care.
And I don't hold it against Camacho(or Hannibal)that I woke up with laryngitis, an ear ache and an impressive fever today,24 hours after I read the final sentence of Blood and Bone. It was that good.
No more intriguing, fun or masterful mystery hero has ever been created. Camacho's plots pull you in like no others. He tantalizes you with little bits of information implicating a cast of deliciously vivid characters. He involved me on a whole new level as a mystery reader. He made me think, speculate, take part in a way I didn't think I could in solving the crime. It was simply too much fun to put off to the next day.
Run out and buy B & B now.
But don't start reading it until you get off work on Friday. Trust me.

Summary: Fun and Exciting
Review: I was pleasantly surprised at the twists and turns in this book, that culminated in an even more surprising ending! Easy and enjoyable reading.

Summary: When can we expect the movie?
Review: Move over Walter Mosley, there's another novelist in town and he's hot. Austin Camacho grabs you from page one and takes you all the way on an exciting rollercoaster ride full of thrills, intrigue, mystery, the works! I did not want to put this one down. Denzel Washington and company did Mosley great justice in the movie "Devil in a Blue Dress", I would suggest that the agents of Shemar Moore and Roslyn Sanchez be contacted for the roles of Jones and Santiago, most def!!!
I am looking forward to the entire HJ series. Thank you, Mr. Camacho, thank you! Jacky and I love your work, we hope to see you again at Tarara...
