Summary: A Love Foretold
Review: If you're in the market for a romance novel this is pretty standard fare. But it is not too bad for a first effort Ms. DeYoung's efforts seem to shine in her loving descriptions of Chicago. She also writes exiting action scenes well. However, if you buy this book my suggestion is to skip the ackowledgement page and also the back cover and get right to the novel. She spends way too much time drawing on the fame of her rock star husband. If she writes another she should concentrate on herself as a writer and forget about the other stuff in her life.

Summary: Cd great........ book, not great
Review: My husband is an AVID Dennis DeYoung fan. When this book came out he wanted it since Dennis includes a new song with purchase of the book. The book is I'd say good for the 18-25 group....anyone older would look at it and think "expensive Harlequin romance novel". Her sex "scenes" are pretty explicit... which in my opinion does not fit the rest of the "Rated G" book. Bottom line if I could have purchased the cd minus the book I would have.

Summary: Passion and Magic in Chicago
Review: This is much more than a romance between two human characters. Author DeYoung obviously has an ongoing love affair with the city of Chicago and its history, people and places. A Love Foretold celebrates the human spirit with all the magic, passion and possibility one feels in a vibrant city like Chicago, and her infectious enthusiasm and luscious descriptions makes you want to book a flight and go tap into it. From the dramatic opening scene in an 1800's Indian village to the final discovery that ties it all together, it's a wild, edge-of-your-seat ride. The characters are big, dramatic and beautiful, and when their passions finally erupt, the steam fairly rises from the page. There's life after death, love that spans generations, and human beings exhibiting spiritually-fueled powers. If you like a dose of magic with your romance, this book is for you.
