Summary: Gripping and Exciting!
Review: "Vogel Flies South" is an exciting look at the way the world, particularly Europe, operates today. Dutch Vogel is American by birth but European by choice. He unwittingly falls into a wide-sweeping plot that pulls him ever inward. Dutch is never quite sure who the good guys are. So ,then, neither is the reader. This book is very entertaining as Dutch crosses Europe trying to figure out who his enemies really are.Harvey has written a suspenseful novel that a reader will not want to put down. The action is never-ending and I found myself wondering about Dutch when I was not reading Harvey's book.

Summary: Intellectual tough guy!
Review: Easy to read and captivating, above all it is an interesting concept for a spy novel. I was not quite sure wether, I was reading an autobiography or a novel, all the characters seem so, real life, the author has obviously spent much time in the places he describes, and his love for these cultures transpires. Great reading and captivating. you always want to get back into the book if! you put it down for a while.

Summary: Would have made a Good Movie
Review: This book was recommended to me since it made references to the town I lived in. I not a big fan of Mystery or Spy Novels, but I decided to give it a try. It was, over-all, a good read however, I felt it was written like a movie production. One moment you're in a cafe sipping coffee and the next minute you're in a dream sequence. A glossary of characters would have also helped. The extremely fast pace roller coaster ending had me thumbing back through the book, reviewing character's names and motives. Mr. Harvey has definitely made me a fan of his. I look forward to reading the sequel"Vogel and the White Bull".
