Summary: What a Movie!
Review: "At Fault" is a piece of brilliant writing by an unusually competent newcomer to the top selling ranks of today's crop of novelists. This new author - Angus MacDonald - is an engineer by education, a high level executive by profession, and a bon vivant by avocation.

MacDonald spins a tale that begins with the horror of a jet plane crashing into an occupied hotel, winds through a labyrinth of clues and intrigue as to where the blame lies for the tragedy, and ends up with a boardroom squabble where right finally triumphs over misplaced myth. The clever MacDonald calls upon all his technical know how and his wide ranging business epxerience to produce this chilling, thrilling story.

As one contemplates the movie that will be made out of this bitter, but sentimental story, one wishes that the ideal cast members were still around -- David Niven as Alan Fisk, Myrna Loy as his wife, Wallace Beery as Dusty McGinty, and Humphrey Bogart as Cass Cutler.

What a cast! What a movie! What a novel! And What an Author!

Summary: Draws the reader into a storm of power struggles
Review: In At Fault, a packed airliner crashes into a Miami high rise killing more than a thousand people. Three men are caught up in a search for the cause of this horrific disaster: the guilt wracked engine designer; his embattled boss; and an NTSB investigator with a personal agenda. Each man is aware that blame must be placed, and that his career (and possibly his life) hangs in the balance of this investigation. Meticulously researched, At Fault is a brilliant, engaging, informative, entertaining, original and highly recommended novel that draws the reader into a storm of power struggles, blame games, clashing agendas, and conflicting egos.
