Summary: An unforgettable thriller.
Review: "The Mullahs Conspiracy " definitely has all the spices to cope with the dilemma, the treacherous and greedy Mullahs, who are willing to sell their mother's for power and money. The novel DOES exonerate the innocent, peace loving people of Iran. Although it is a work of fiction, but when you read it diligently, you feel you have experienced something. Something that you never forget.

Since man can shape his meaningful life through "nothing else but what he makes of himself," he should get out of the anguished feelings and create his own solutions. By doing so, man can free himself from the feeling of nausea and the prison of absurdity. And the only way the character achieves his freedom is to perform an action that engages his responsibility for mankind as well as for the consequences of what he does. This is acutely what Mr. Tavana has done, with the help of his peers, Ahmad and the Doctor and the brave people of Khorasan.

Cyrus doost eloquently has depicted our fear and our hope. He has achieved what seemed unachievable. Like the fictional book 'Boof-e Koor, it has an everlasting impression on your mind. Writing becomes an act to leave a record for the future. It is because of this that we cannot believe Sadegh when he says, "I am writing only for my shadow, which is now stretched across the wall in the light of the lamp. I must make myself known to him,"

You cannot escape from this struggle. The struggle itself toward the heights is enough to fill a man's heart. "The Mullah Conspiracy" has superbly detailed every little incident, thus, has made it an incredible and passionate story of courage, brevity and reconciliation with the self.

Summary: Islamic Intrigue Intrigues
Review: A real chiller from Cyrus Doost. More than just a thoroughly entertaining work of fiction this novel is also an insider's view of one of the dangerous threats to western democracy in this century. Although we have many friends in the Islamic world, religous fundementalism (with help, perhaps, from western policy blunders) has created an army of religious zealots bent on world conquest and the determination to use any means necessary to achieve those ends.

The Mullah Conspiracy takes us into theocratic Iran with Frank Tavana, an Iranian-American Professor who returns to Iran to rescue his friend and colleague, Jerry Lockwood, who has been sentenced to death as an American spy. The hair-raising adventures which ensue in the attempt at his rescue from imprisonment lead into something much greater in importance in its implications for our future. We are privileged to see the modern Islamic world through the sharply observant eyes of a former Iranian who really knows the complex layers of that society. The characters in this book may be Iranian in speech and thought but are also quite universally human in their feelings and motivations. We care about them and hope for their success. This is a marvelous read.

Summary: So exciting I couldn't put it down
Review: Although I don't know very much about Iranian culture and the current political climate there, I found myself completely engrossed in this book. The characters were lively, sympathetic and complex, and I was really curious to see how the action would turn out. The universal elements of excitement, love, loyalty, and conflict were all there in spades, set into a context that was also very interesting.

Five stars!!!

Summary: Best of Genre
Review: Doost has written a masterpiece. The very best of its genre.
The best book of intrigue that I've read. It is written in clear English with characters that one likes. I felt that I understood the corrupt Mullahs for the first time. It is one thang to read that they are politicians. It is another to see them in action. The jailers make Midnight Express pale in
comparison. A must read.

Summary: The best novel I have ever read.
Review: From the beginnings to endings, "The Mullah Conspiracy" reveals the `tricks' of Mullahs. It illustrates so many factual instances that make you wonder if the author of this fictional book has actually been there and seen all the actions, via his own eyes. It is a propelling story based largely on dynamic character interaction and the depiction of lively events.

For the most part, out of pragmatic necessity, the writer has chosen inherently interesting, dynamic, and vivid subject matters, thus succeeding in creating an overall story that keeps the reader highly engaged and adamantly glued to his/ her chair.

This novel, even if it is fictional, is nonetheless concerned with the present reality and truthfulness, trying to decipher a pattern in order to help to understand what is happening now, in that piece of "God's earth."

This book allows the reader to interpret his/her own experiences, numbly undergo a barrage of sensations and events that seem as real as a heart attack.

At times, when I was reading this awesome 'thriller/love story', I could not control my feelings and emotions and naturally my eyes were filled with tears, reminiscent of my own only love, Roya.

I highly recommend this thriller, this adventurous novel, to all those freedom loving people of our earth, who advocate liberty, justice and peace for all mankind.

Summary: An unforgettable thriller.
Review: Like wildfire, the suspense heightens from the very first page of this masterfully crafted novel. The adventures of modern men of gallantry and bravery, and their concerted international efforts to uproot plots made by the ruling medieval-mannered Mullahs in Iran.
I savored every word of this fascinating novel. Especially the exchange of "Persian Ta'arof" followed by the author's delicate English translations. The book took me to worlds of dreams experienced by those whose travels take them to wondrous societies. I was able to imagine the protagonist and other leading characters throughout their intriguing (and occasionally romantic) plots; had them all visualized in my mind against numerous scenic vistas of Tehran, cities in Khorasan.... London and The United States.
This book has all the necessary ingredients (suspense, romance, heroes and villains) for being made into a movie.

Summary: Couldn't put it down
Review: Ordinarily I don't read spy/adventure novels, but this was highly recommended to me and I decided to give it a try. Many hours of enjoyment later, I was sorry to see the book end. Plot twists kept me guessing and the well-developed characters made me care what happened to them. I hope the writer will carry forward the adventures of these very engaging people.
