Rating: Summary: How to undo a CEO?! Review: This novel has humor - but it's really disguised venom. I liked it because it is a modern cautionary tale with a strong moral message but without being preachy. It has a few weak points, but they are far outweighed by the quick-moving plot and interesting, maybe even over-the-top characters. In spite of the humor, it is clear that Land KNOWS the underbelly of academia - a world he shows is tainted by PC, greed, and run by a "process-model" view of curriculum as a material produced by raw materials mined by professors and students as products... a result of MBAs taking the helm in a world he sees they don't belong because they aren't intellectual, but profit-seeking. Teasdale Primer can shed light on all sorts of corporate greed that has made the US such a kind and gentle place. The Teasdale Primer shows you that Land also knows the underbelly of big business and has put a spin on it that rings poetically true from coast to coast. A MUST read for any soul-less CEO who might want to redeem him/herself or for anyone contemplating a business career - to see what it might turn you into - unless you have the courage to buck the system like one of Land's characters does!
