The thrill of the chase, the historic settings in Texas, the humor, the literary and culinary aspects and the great characterization all blended together to created a delightful picture of Texas and some sinister goings-on under the bucolic facade. I can't wait for Miss Danceforth and the Bow and Arrow Murders, the next in Hanson's series.

Review: This book was a definite page turner. As a native Texan, I find it easy to see that the author has lived here for over 30 years. The details are exact! I had trouble putting this book down, the plot is thrilling. I recommend this novel to any mystery/thriller fan out there and to anyone interested in knowing more about Texas.
