I found it incredible that the author had researched and started his writings about the al-Qaeda prior to the events of Sept 11th.
This book is a "must-read" and could have all the makings of a great script for Hollywood. Steven Spieldberg - this is one for you!

Review: This book is an amazing fiction account of adventurous people living dangerously across several continents only to end up in the same place at the same time in a series of suspenseful scenes, where the plot just comes together and you just can't put that book down. If you enjoy reading about love, trust, danger, secret missions, death, survival, courage, betrayal and witty characters then this book is for you. The story unravels in a suspenseful and intriguing format making you believe you are really there. The author is very descriptive and shares his knowledge on the CIA, Al-Qaeda and other organizations all the while promoting care, sensitivity and love through his main characters. Discover a daring and audacious young woman and her skilled and experienced partner, you get attached to these two but.....what a surprise ending! This is a definite MUST-READ.

Review: WHEN BUTTERFLIES DIE is definitely a must-read. We must fasten our seatbelts early, because from the first page, we are immersed in action, adventure and suspense as each character is introduced and melded into the advancing story line with compelling dialogue and description. The plot is gripping from the start, and, aside from some initial historical and political details the author gives us which are important to our complete understanding of the story (the book has obviously been well-researched) it never slows down (it's definitely a page turner!) The story is very timely, based on the very real threat of terrorism in today's world using biological/nuclear weapons, and, although we spend a brief time in war-torn Serbia, most of the story takes place in the United States in the beautiful Yosemite Valley (one of the author's favorite haunts). We follow Jennifer, the young CIA agent on her first assignment, and watch as she meets a very difficult situation head-on. Can Jennifer and her cohorts diffuse the terrorist threat to her country (and the rest of the world?)? Not only does the reader get totally immersed in Jennifer's story, but there is an important ROMANTIC element to the plot. The author has done a very credible job of bringing a LOVE angle into the story, which only heightens its interest. We are thus following an emotionally-charged, action-filled story of mystery and suspense and are continually moved and intrigued by the human element of romantic involvement (very tastefully done, in this writer's opinion). If enough people read WHEN BUTTERFLIES DIE--and share their thoughts on the book with others--it is going to be a BEST-SELLER. It could also be a blockbuster movie! Let's see...what major motion picture star should play Jennifer? Colonel Jerdev? David? General Zogovic? Fascinating to contemplate!! BOTTOM LINE: You should definitely read this book. You will NOT be disappointed!
