Summary: Review by William Marshall
Review: Ellis does a wonderful job of taking you to the moment. Instantly you are in the mind set of the characters. I went from not liking characters to understanding and caring for them in an instant. Ellis gets it done giving you a look behind the scenes of the characters and allowing you to understand their role. Many moments in the book allowed me to relive numerous memories during my childhood while growing up in West Virginia. The book is simply a great read, one I didn't want to end. I can only hope Ellis decides one day to write again.

Summary: a great pager turner
Review: from start to finish In The FOREST of The Night eagerly kept me turning pages to see what happens next to that diverse group of
West Virginians It gave me chills to read about events that I REMEMBER SO WELL like the Marshall plane chrash Thank you Mr Ellis for turning an investigation into a gteat story line

Summary: Every Two Years
Review: I picked up the book before getting on a plane last year, and became engrossed for the next three hours, being carried away to a fragment of American sub-culture little known to many. The flow of the story line intertwined with the obvious biblical symbolism, and then covered with the hollows of West Virginia was a delightful diversion.

I will re-read this book every two years just for the flight.
