Rating: Summary: Exceptional Story-Very Well Written Review: One of the best fantasy stories I've read in a long time. A real page turner. NASA's latest space ship sent to Mars on mission with a crew of three, one being the first woman to make this unusual trip in 2020. As the ship approaches the darkness of space, the crew learns of a lost American space craft and were warned not to make a rescue because of the hazards involved with everyone. Do they heed this warning or not? Mutiny would then face them. Added to this, the future of a young president would also be involved. The author cleverly pulls everything together at the end. This book is highly recommended, and will certainly not disappoint any reader of any age.

Rating: Summary: Make belief at its best Review: This book is a throwback to the simple plot, fantasy world of make belief where the good guys in white hats win out and the villains are clearly delineated. The plot is simple and easily followed, the passions are real and easily understood, the mystery is always with us. It's the type of book one cannot put down. Hope, hate, envy, regret, loyalty, suspence, fear--these are all with the crews in outer space. As the crew goes past Mars into the emptyness of the universe, they wonder if any will ever see earth again. This book will hold the reader in suspence from the front cover to the back.
Rating: Summary: Fast-paced action Review: This fast-paced science-fiction novel deals with love, hate, fear, betrayal, hope, and despair. The author works hard to keep the plot moving and believable. Simply put, the story deals with a Mars space crew that upon nearing that red planet hears radio signals from deep space, that are identified as that of a lost American space craft that disappeared into outer space two years ago. The three-astronaut crew, commanded by a beautiful young woman ask NASA for permission to attempt a rescue and are turned down, because it is felt that this might mean another lost craft, which would be politically disastrous for the President. The crew members of the Mars craft are devastated, and upon hearing the desperate voices of the lost crew members, began to ponder the unthinkable-should they mutiny and attempt a rescue on their own? From this point, the plot moves with great speed. The reader will not be disappointed because of great lapses of activity. There are none. The plot explores the politics of the space adventure. It shows a young president torn between trying to do what is right, and knowing that a wrong turn could mean political suicide. This book, though apparently intended for a young audience, will no doubt appeal to readers of all ages because of its simplicity of plot and easy reading
