Review: I have read most of the author's other novels ... this one is by far the most thought-provoking. Atomic energy is still not acceptable and the power shortage is still a major threat. This novel could have been written yesterday ... it's that current!

Review: JUST GREAT! AND VERY TODAY!

This was the third Gordon Froede novel I have read. I always expect a new novel not to be as good as his previous ones, but Froede is a true master of thrills and supense ... he has never disappointed me.

Although PROMISE was written before the 2001 energy crisis, the story is very timely as Washington considers building new atomic power plants to make the US energy-independent of other countries.

This is a very thought-provoking novel. I recommend it wholeheartedly, especially to our law makers in Washington. They may also benefit from reading Froede's other insightful books.
