Summary: An offbeat mystery/romance
Review: I'm a mystery fan, and this is a first-rate example of the genre, but the offbeat characters (the main one is a geologist, another is a 14-year-old girl) give it extra flavor and move it out of the ordinary. The descriptions of the southwest are vivid. Add in a romance that barely gets off the ground, ingenious plot twists, and you have a crackling good story!
