Description:
Eddenden's mystery series is set in the Canadian town of Fort York during World War II. This time Inspector Tretheway must find the "creative but warped mind" who is finding sadistic pleasure in a series of crimes inspired by the movies showing at the local West End Theater. Frightening stunts resembling scenes from a Laurel and Hardy comedy and the "Wizard of Oz" progress to murders in the style of "Gunga Din" and "Beau Geste." Since "Gone With The Wind" is coming soon, the good citizens have reason to fear that their town will be razed. Tretheway must find the culprit in time.
