Rating: Summary: Such an Intresting Novel Review: ADDICTIVE by Zane is an intresting novel in which captivated my intrest as soon as I read the first page. Throughout this book different characters make wrong decisions and , on the longterm end up regreding their mistake. What really cought my attention was how a person can live a double life and keep it a secret for so long. I feel as if this novel teaches so much about that kind of dilema and I recommend ADDICTIVE to all.
Rating: Summary: IT CAN'T GET ANY BETTER Review: Addicted is the best book I have EVER read. From the beginning to the end, it will keep your guessing, laughing, and wanting to read more. I read book, after book, and after reading ADDICTED, just any old book won't do. I get bored. Addicted is not at all predictable. Zane combines sex, love, murder, mystery, family history, etc. into one plot. She is so gifted. As I said, I don't think it gets better than this.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Addictive!!! Review: Addicted, simply put is about love, passion, sexuality, and the realization that a person's life is not always what it may seem. Especially the sensual side that a lot of women spend their lives trying to repress. With a one-of-a-kind style, Zane takes us on a sensual ride with absolutely no inhibitions....NOTHING held back. The main character Zoe is beautiful, successful, and has it all...so it seems. Yet, we find out that she lacks one thing that she desires: sexual satisfaction from her husband Jason (who was her childhood sweetheart). In her search of what she can't bring herself to discuss with him (their sex life), she finds herself caught up in affairs with folks she barely knows. Think that's something? Well, that's just the beginning.... That's just one of the surprises and twists and turns this novel takes!! It's definitely one roller coaster ride after another and whether you know it or not, you signed up for one spectacular ride when you purchased this book. Just make sure you put your seatbelt on tight and that you're not "sexually repressed." Zane spins a web with unforgettable characters that you'll love, hate, and possibly relate to personally. You may even find yourself thinking, "Dang, I know how that feels." Each character is introduced with the intense words of Zane's writing. There are also enough erotically wicked scenes that you'll be in a frenzy flipping the pages for more. If you haven't read Addicted, you're missing an outstanding novel. This is one of the best books I've read this year and I'll be waiting with great anticipation for the sequel! -Tee C. Royal Reading and Writing (R.A.W.) SISTAZ Founder/Moderator
Rating: Summary: What in the world? Review: After hearing all of the hype about Zane, I was quite disappointed after finishing this book. For those of you who have not read the book, STOP READING NOW I'M ABOUT TO GIVE AWAY SOMETHING IN THE END!!!
Okay, so the woman was addicted sex? Come on, I refuse to believe that anyone who is supposedly a successful business person would be that daggome stupid. And why didn't she end up pregnat at the end seeing as how condoms were NEVER mentioned in the novel. Oh, they might have been mentioned when Jason and Zoe had sex and she got prego the first time. But, let's be real, how many times can one woman have sex and never have at least a missed period that scares the heck out of you. And this crap with the artist being a serial killer in the end? HUH!! I was pissed by the time I finished the book. I will say that all of the drama kept me reading, just to see how stupid she would be next and boy, did she never disappoint me, she just got more stupid as the book progressed. Then how convenient that Jason suddenly has a sex problem too and Zoe was raped as a child. Ugh. Come on. The book is very cliche and by the time I finished, I wonder who Zane publishers were because apparently, I need to submit my unfinished manuscripts to them--I'm sure they would be published--and just where in the world did she--not--learn to write? I think Zane has potential, but she needs to go to a couple of writing workshops and let some real authors like Eric Jerome Dickey, E. Lynn Harris, or anybody critique her work. Shoot, come to my school's English dept. and sit in on a class, i promise it would be beneficial. I doubt I'll read her work anytime soon.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST BOOK I EVER READ!!! Review: Although i am a fast reader and it takes me about 7 hours to finish an average book, it took me 4 hours to read this book...why??? because i could not put it down...the book is AMAZING it so vivid and has so many twist and turns that you would think that you are watching a movie...it's great...the characters are intersting and they develop right before your eyes...great book to read!!!
Rating: Summary: Ridiculous Review: I cannot believe I keep giving Zane chances, but all the hype around her has forced me to find something worth reading. I haven't yet. Addicted is the most ludicrous drivel I've ever read. I am not even hyperbolizing. This was even worse than "Milk in My Coffee" by EJD. I couldn't believe that this character, devoid of personality, was the center of everyone's world. Her husband, the good doting sap that he was, couldn't satisfy her sexually, but she had no frame of reference so I don't understand that. And why isn't her relationship worth more than sex? Is she really an adult? She sounds like a child who was overindulged her entire life, not molested. I also find it laughable that all of these men want to kill her; I wanted to kill her too for being so hung up on herself. She didn't deserve any of the affection she received from any of these men. Also, the therapist did not exhibit any characteristics normal of a therapist. Zoe's masturbation as a child was normal. Zane doesn't realize her obligation as an author to do research before writing a book, and it is extremely embarrassing.
The sex scenes, which should have been the saving grace in a book with horrible plot development and characterization, were childish ramblings. And what's wrong with safe sex? It's not like she's drunk when she's sleeping with these strangers. Zane should incorporate condoms in these stories.
This book, and other Zane titles, showed me that anyone can publish a bestseller, like anyone can have a hit song on the radio. Talent isn't nearly as important as hype.
Any grown woman who says she learned from this book, really should broaden her reading list. Self-help books are rampant at your nearest bookstore and amazon.com.
Rating: Summary: I'm not addicted Review: I feel that Zane is too over rated, people who read her books just blow her up to the point where your actually expecting some good reading, but then you are let down, well at least I was.
So, Zoe was addicted to sex, I'm sorry, but I do not buy the bull crap, can we at least refer to someone who's addicted to sex prominsciuos or a flat out dog.................the book was very dull and the begginning was very slow, it took me a couple of days just to read the first chapter. I didnt even get a chance to finish reading the book because it was so terrible, I got about a hundred pages from the end where at Zoe was at it with her multiple lovers, then I just put it down, because the whole "I'm addicted to sex" attitude is so tired, would I refer this book to anyone, NO!
Rating: Summary: What a plot Review: The novel starts off very slowly. The first section of the book is about Zoe's whole childhood, how her and her husband Jason met and the beginnings of her sexual addiction. Then, Zoe is involved with multiple lovers. This part of the novel I found boring. But, then it gets good.
Zoe decides to end her affairs with the help of Dr.Spencer. However, everything back fires in one day. Suicidal attempts, a test of marriage, and multiple attempts on Zoe's life all occur once her secret is out in the open. The novel has many twist and turns that keeps you wanting to read more.
The novel was very good once is started to get "juicy". The novel wasn't just about sex. The message was deep in this one. Great Job Zane!
Rating: Summary: Great Read Review: This book is very good, this was the first book I actually read by Zane and now I am back tracking, trying to catch up! Despite the fact that it is very graphic with the sexuality, it was the story line that kept me reading, it was so good that I finished the book the day after I bought it! I guess it depends on a person's visualization of a story to gain the full effect of the characters and the story in general.
Rating: Summary: Zane's Best Book...PERIOD!!! Review: This is my most favorite novel that I keep at my desk at work. I couldn't put this book down from the moment I got it. It only took me 1 day and a few hours to read this. This book is definately steamy, hot, and full of sex. So if you are one that does not like to read buck wild things then this is definately not for you.. try reading Zane's very slow and boring "The Heatseekers". Zane, has really been disapoinnting me lately with her latest novels..I truly hopes that she goes back to the formula that she used for this excellent book. Trust me read this book and you will not be disappointed, I guarantee that! This book is only for the MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY!!!!
