Summary: Better first lock your doors before you begin to read!
Review: Before I begin, let me tell you that this is my first book review. Why? It's my first review because it's the first book I have ever read that captured my attention from the begining, and never let go. I originally decided to purchase "Bad Dream" because the author, Bill J. Duke, lives in Fargo, ND, where I also reside. After reading this book, I eagerly await the next Bill Duke thriller. Without giving anything away, let me tell you how you will be drawn in. All the characters, storylines and timeframes start comletely separate from eachother. As the story progresses, different "pieces of the puzzle" begin to intertwine. Characters meet, plots collide and time almost stands still. Just when you think it is almost over, you realize you are only 1/4 of the way through the book. Bill Duke builds such a high level of anticipation, dangles the solution and then throws in a twist at the last minute only to do it all over again. Here is what you will get from "Bad Dream": murder, love, suspense, humor, action. If you want a book that is predictable and straight forward, then don't buy this one. If you want entertainment, you get more than your monies worth here. If you enjoy it as much as I did, and you will, you can join me in anticipation of Bill Duke next work. Enjoy! By the way, did I mention to lock your doors before you start reading. I did? Must have been important.

Summary: A dark, brooding saga of razor tension
Review: Bill Duke's Bad Dream is a chilling suspense novel about Megan Ambrose, a ten-year-old girl who finds herself kidnaped. Her abductor is a brutal and ruthless murderer who cuts off Megan's attempts to communicate, and then assassinates the FBI agent that she tried to contact for help. Bad Dream is recommended as a dark, brooding saga of razor tension, emotional instability and dramatic upheaval.
