Rating: Summary: This book was a page turner !!! Review: 1. His next book might profit by some editorial assistance.2. With the assumption that the author is a very intelligent person, i offer the following comments on his book Managed Care. a. It is a fascinating collection of words. b. It brought to mind the best selling book of about 10+ years ago in which various reporters each wrote a chapter or two under the correct assumption that a disjointed series of events would not put off the reader. c. The many mispellings (through, instead of threw), mixed metaphors (..ring your chain..), and other oddities i don't remember, led, not to the conclusion that this is merely a class of foreigners who are learning English by writing a novel, but the deduction that this is a novel that the author dictated into a computer with voice recognition software as he was driving to work. He subsequently sent a CD of the story to 1stbooks without going over a typescript. These comments are not meant in a mean-spirited way. After all I read the entire book because it was fascinating to try to work out the process by which it was produced. Also, I thought many parts of the story were interesting and could have been developed into a smooth novel.

Rating: Summary: I loved COMA and I loved this book ! Review: I am a big fan of both Robin Cook (especially COMA) and John Grisham (mainly The Firm) and I think that John Sullivan combines both of their writing styles - he includes both medical thriller along with business thriller. I couldn't put this book down ! Anyone that needs another book to read at the beach should read this one ! This book would be a terrific movie and I hope to see it some day !
Rating: Summary: This book was a page turner !!! Review: I don't want to give away the plot to anyone that might read this book, but I can say that I could not put this book down once I started it ! The plot was filled with action and suspense, and it certainly never bored me. I enjoyed that it was hard to predict what would happen as the story progressed. I think this story would make a great movie and hope to some day see it turned into one ! Kudos to this new author and I hope to see more suspense filled thrillers from him !
Rating: Summary: Managed Care Review: I found the pace to be slow and the content rather dull.
Rating: Summary: I loved this book ! Review: I've worked in health care for ten years and couldn't believe how realistic this novel was. It reminded me of Robin Cook's earlier books like Coma. The interesting twist is how the book integrates corporate greed into the health care setting. I can't wait for the movie!!
