Rating: Summary: The best book I've read in a long time Review: Awesome book that had me hooked from begining to end.Had me reading well into the wee hours! I found my self rooting both for Jack & Valerie. Jack to find the killer & Valerie to end her torment. Looking forwarded to the next Jennifer Randazzo & Jack Larson mystery.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down!!! Review: I loved the author's ability to make the characters come alive! I almost regretted that they weren't real people. Randazzo is an amazing cop! I almost fell in love with Larson with his thoughts on women and how he handles all situations so well. I'm glad the ending turned out as it did, it was only fair. I can't wait for your next book, Shari Geller!!
Rating: Summary: A winner! Review: I was surprised and delighted by this book. I understand it is the author's first published work which is in itself astonishing given the polished and professional style. I was engrossed by the story and felt compelled to keep reading. I felt torn by my desire to protect and simultaniously expose the murderer. I loved the characterizations, especially that of Jack Larson who seemed all too human. You root for him and also understand him. I have already recommended this book to many people.
Rating: Summary: Not That Exciting Review: It's not that the book is terrible, it just loses energy when the focus turns from the crimes to the personal lives of Rebecca, Jack, and Tom. The soap opera aspects of their relationships detract from the suspense plot that only picks up when they all go into court near the end. While the author is described as an attorney who later worked with sex offenders, her trial scenes lack a certain feeling of versimilitude. The ending relies too heavily on the killer losing control. It was really lucky for the police that they never had to take their last case to court because all of their evidence would have probably been thrown out for lack of probable cause in obtaining the warrant... published.
