When a visiting Welsh doctor named Catrin Jacob is brutally murdered outside Chicago's Adler Planetarium, the only witness is Jake Bek--a tortured, increasingly violent schizophrenic. Jones, a Welsh ophthalmologist, also wrote the terrific thriller Outside the Rules.
