Review: It is not easy to admit that, after not very long at all, I felt quite sympathetic towards the main character in this book - who is, after all, a hired gun.

This book shows that the author is capable of not only sustaining an excellent series with Dalziel, Pascoe and crew, but is worthy of the highest praise generally.

Try finding and reading not only this but other books this author has written outside the Dalziel/Pascoe series. It would be well worth your trouble.
