Summary: Lance Pearson is a Great guy!
Review: Alright- so I am a highschool student in Richmond, Va- and it just so happens we had "Mr. Pearson" today. I would have to say that he is one of the coolest fellows I have ever met...as a teacher figure. I plan to pick up a copy of "A Byte of Charity" soon. Probably...now. =) You all should buy this book- because Lance Pearson is a great guy. And his wife too!

Summary: Compelling novel with twists and turns
Review: I found that I couldn't put this book down. I read it in two nights. I can't wait for Mr Pearson's next novel which I understand takes the characters from A Byte of Charity and developes them further. For his first novel, A Byte of Charity is a class act. I love reading about places and Mr. Pearson's description of Virginia made me feel like I knew it. I also am in the computer industry and enjoyed the way the author described in detail of the ins and outs of computer networking without being boring or losing the story line. Excellent book and I recommend it highly.

Summary: Very interesting, A very pleasant read
Review: Subj: A Byte Date: 12/09/1999 1:00:51 PM Eastern Standard Time From: (Jacqueline Carl) To: lpear28283@aol.com

It was VERY nice to meet you this weekend. I enjoyed talking with you about your book, and about Virginia history. I'll treasure your inscription. I read your book cover to cover on the plane ride home. It was very interesting, a very pleasant read.

While reading I told myself, "no one who has that kind of a breakthrough product would be dumb enough to commit a federal crime with it when there is so much money to be made legally." But you wrapped it up quite successfully, and tied up a lot of ends I thought might be a little loose. And man, do you believe in your hero coming out on top...not just millions, but billions. Escaping from the federal government and the mob besides, all in 261 pages.

I have determined to write more in 2000. I think I only managed to write 2-3 chapters this year. I have a whole lot more than that in my head. Running this wildlife center is important, but I can't lose myself in the process. I need to keep writing. You were an inspiration. Maybe, when I'm a bit more comfortable with my work, I can send it to you for your opinion. If you're interested.

Thank you for your interest.
